Here’s what Klarisse de Guzman shared about her acting experience.
Singer Klarisse de Guzman is now an actress as well, and recently, she expressed interest in seeking more acting opportunities.
After her Pinoy Big Brother stint, singer-songwriter Klarisse De Guzman earned more love and admiration because of the transparency and truthfulness she showed about herself while she was inside the PBB house.
She did not turn out to be a big winner, but the love, support, and opportunities that flooded her when she got evicted were pretty much fitting for a big winner.
One of the things she explored when her stint ended was acting, and currently, she is a part of the series The Secrets of Hotel 88, which also stars her fellow PBB housemates.
During the media conference for the mid-season of the series, De Guzman talked about her experience in acting and expressed that she actually enjoys doing it. To recall, in 2025, Klarisse was in two Metro Manila Film Festival movies, Call Me Mother and Bar Boys: After School, after her PBB stint.
Despite enjoying it, she did not deny feeling challenged doing it.
“Na discover ko na kaya ko pala kahit papaano kasi even sa loob ng PBB [house], sobrang nag-struggle ako pag may mga task na kailangan umarte, natatawa ako. Lahat naman sila may experience na, ang gagaling child stars so paglabas, kaya ko naman pala kahit papaano. Though, siyempre nakakachallenge din,” she expressed.
At first, she struggled with memorizing lines and expressing the right emotions, but with the support of her former housemates, she learned and gradually improved. Although singing and acting are different, Klarisse said they both require expressing emotions. She applies her experience as a singer, making audiences feel through her voice, to her acting.
“Kaya siguro somehow medyo nakakaarte din ako kahit papaano kasi kapag kumakanta tayo, para na rin tayo umaarte. Di ba yung kinakanta natin, kailangan maramdaman ng audience natin so ganun din. Siguro, for some reason na-apply ko rin siya sa acting ko,” she revealed.
