Carla Abellana Gets Real About Money Problems and Huge Tax Due
CARLA ABELLANA – Kapuso star Carla Abellana shocked fans after admitting she’s financially struggling, revealing she needs to pay a whopping ₱364,000 in taxes with limited projects this year.
Carla Abellana recently made a candid revelation about her financial situation, admitting that she is currently experiencing a tough time due to a lack of projects and her upcoming tax payment amounting to ₱364,000.
During a recent media interaction following the announcement of the last four entries for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025, the press playfully asked Carla if she would be busy this coming December. Rumors have been circulating that the actress might tie the knot with her doctor-boyfriend before the year ends, leading many to believe she would have a packed schedule.
However, Carla quickly dismissed the speculation with humor and honesty. “Hindi po. Hindi po ako busy ng December. Naghahanap po ako ng trabaho,” she said, adding that she is still hoping for more work opportunities. Carla will be starring in the MMFF 2025 entry “Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins.”
She went on to share, “Parang tatlo lang po yata yung promo namin sa Shake, Rattle & Roll. Bigyan niyo po akong trabaho, please. Yes! Please po, more work. Wala na pong pangkain yung aking mga aso. Wala na pong pambayad ng tax ko next week. P364,000 po ang aking ano, hindi ko po alam kung saan pupulutin iyong aking pambayad sa tax,” the actress said, drawing both laughter and sympathy from the media.
Carla further admitted that her workload this year has been minimal, making it difficult for her to keep up with her financial obligations. “In terms of work, bilang lang talaga kung gaano karami ang pumasok this year. Gipit po talaga, sa totoo lang po, pero trabaho pa rin po talaga. Sabi ko nga, okay na ‘yon, kesa wala talaga,” she expressed.
Despite the challenges, the actress remains positive and hopeful that more opportunities will come her way soon. Her honesty about her situation resonated with many fans, who admired her for being open about the financial realities behind the glitz and glamour of showbiz.
