This is what Kris Aquino said about her son’s potential career in singing.
Bimby Aquino-Yap has a potential singing career ahead of him, and his mother, Kris Aquino, has this to say about this possibility.
The past eight weeks were a tough journey for Kris Aquino, who is still struggling with her multiple autoimmune conditions. For many years now, she’s been receiving treatment, and after the struggles she went through in the past weeks, she survived. She has 11 autoimmune diseases, as of last June.
In her latest Instagram post last October 12, Kris wrote, “It’s been a very tough 8 weeks but somehow I SURVIVED. This video is about my 2 boys. And why i’m fighting for them.”
Her sons remain her greatest motivation to keep fighting and her reason for fearing death. In the same post where she shared an update about her condition, she expressed how proud she is of her youngest son, Bimby, and his growing passion for music.
Previously, local talent management company Cornerstone Entertainment shared a glimpse of Bimby having vocal lessons with award-winning singer-songwriter and vocal coach, Thor Dulay. In Aquino’s post, she shared a short clip of her son in the middle of a voice lesson at a studio.
She wrote about it:
“My 18 year old has for now decided to continue with his singing lessons with coach Thor (plus some super star “Titos”who have volunteered to teach him about stage presence and how to make audience rapport fun for all. From the time he was 11 he’s been my companion every time I’ve had to been put to sleep for the numerous procedures I have undergone. A singing doctor- thank you hunny for being the embodiment of what mama had wished for.”
Kris is fully supportive of her son’s potential singing career, and to recall, she was even the one who hinted about her son joining the show business industry. But as a stage mom, she doesn’t want his stage name to be changed. He will accordingly stay as “Bimb,” and he will have no last name.
