Marc Logan reacted to this post about It’s Showtime hosts
Veteran broadcaster Marc Logan slammed a social media post saying that the It’s Showtime hosts should be protected.
The Kapamilya noontime show is journeying to its 20th year. Despite the ups and downs, the show continues to give laughter and entertainment to the avid viewers.
In recent episodes, the hosts used humor to impart their take on current events and political issues. They would include skits about what is happening in the Senate and some pressing issues about government officials, including their viral statements.
These skits would somehow feel like an attack on certain politicians. In one of the recent episodes of It’s Showtime, based on the article in Balita, Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda, the main host, joked about the “under attack” statement of Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano during the controversial Senate shooting, which took place on May 13.
At that time, Cayetano had his Facebook Live during the incident, and Vice had a satirical take on this.
Aside from this, Vice would also have subtle or even obvious attacks against politicians, and he would also share his own thoughts and opinions.
With this, fan account Kapamilya TV shared a post stating that the It’s Showtime hosts should be protected.
“Lord, please protect It’s Showtime host, [at] all costs,” the post stated. It was said that netizens were not expecting that this would receive a comment from Marc Logan, who worked under ABS-CBN for many years.
To recall, back in 2024, Marc transferred to TV5 after spending 28 years in the Kapamilya network.
“They are public figures martial law ba tayo para di sila pwedeng batikusin?” Marc commented. However, it was not clarified if the veteran broadcaster was referring to protection for It’s Showtime hosts or protection for politicians.
