Kapamilya actor Anthony Jennings begins a new chapter in his career after past controversies and challenges in the show business.
Kapamilya stars Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings faced severe backlash in the past couple of years after the actor’s ex-girlfriend revealed their private, controversial conversations, suggesting they were having an affair.
They were at the height of their career as a love team, but were suddenly dragged down because of the issue.
Years after the issue, the actor spoke, and he expressed his thoughts about making a comeback. He is embracing a new chapter with fresh endorsements, TV projects, and the upcoming series Nurse the Dead. Despite his comeback, he is no longer looking forward to making it big in the industry.
“As much as, kung alam mo naman sa sarili mo na be a good person na talaga, and everything will follow. Alam mo yun? Uhm, ako, masaya ako sa kung nasaan ako ngayon. And happy and content naman,” he said.
Jennings reflected on the lessons he learned from the challenges he recently faced, saying the experience taught him many things about life and himself. However, the actor said the most important realization for him was the value of being a good person.
He explained that despite everything he went through, he believes that staying kind and genuine will eventually lead to better things in life.
“Sobrang dami, ang dami kong masasabi talaga. Pero siguro ang pinakaimportante na lang… be a good person talaga para sa ‘kin. Kasi, ayun nga, everything will follow,” he said
Meanwhile, Jennings recently earned high praise from director Lester Pimentel, who described him as a “generational talent” during the launch of a new brand film in Tanay, Rizal.
Pimentel shared that the project was originally conceptualized without a specific actor attached to it and was initially meant for a “usual commercial model.” But after seeing the “crazy” and “absurd” concept, he immediately felt that Jennings was the only one who could truly bring it to life.
Jennings also teased several upcoming projects, including the U.S.-based film Nurse the Dead and another forthcoming movie, adding that fans can look forward to seeing more of him in the future.
