Karylle encouraged the public to support her new movie
Singer-actress Karylle shared a good reason why people should watch the movie Quezon about Manuel Quezon, who was the second president of the Philippines.
K is one of the cast members of the Philippine epic historical drama film, which featured A-list actor Jericho Rosales as Manuel Quezon. This is the third installment of the Bayaniverse, following Heneral Luna and Goyo.
In this movie, K gave life to the character of Aurora Quezon, the wife of Manuel Quezon and a former First Lady of the Philippines.
In a recent interview on the Kapuso afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the King of Talk, asked Karylle why Quezon is relevant nowadays.
The singer-actress said that as a student, she was inclined to learning to discern. For her, it is important to learn to be observant, to listen, to study, and to discuss.
K also reminded that people should not be looked up to or idolized because they are also human beings. “Tao ang bawat isa, ang mga politicians natin, they know that they are answerable to us,” she said.
The singer-actress added that if people watch Quezon, they will learn history from a good form and know how the present situation can be fixed. “I think,” she said, while crossing her fingers.
Meanwhile, in the same interview, Karylle was asked about her ex-boyfriend, Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes. Their breakup created a loud buzz, and even years after, showbiz fans, once in a while, would recall the issue.
The singer-actress admitted that there is no issue on her part, and that they can support each other as they are in the same industry. However, when it comes to being friends, K said that this is no longer possible.
