PAGASA Says Tropical Storm Paolo to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that reported that Paolo is now a tropical storm.
On Thursday (October 2, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Tropical Storm Paolo will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that tropical storm Paolo was last spotted 705 km east of Infanta, Quezon. It packs has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is expected to intensify before making landfall over Isabela or northern Aurora on Friday morning (October 3, 2025).

The storm will bring rains with gusty winds over Catanduanes, Aurora, Quirino, and Isabela.
Paolo’s trough will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the Cordillera Administrative Region, CALABARZON, the rest of Cagayan Valley, the rest of Bicol Region, Nueva Ecija, and Bulacan.

Signal No.1 was raised in the following areas:
- Mainland Cagayan
- Isabela
- Quirino
- Nueva Vizcaya
- Apayao
- Abra
- Kalinga
- Mountain Province
- Ifugao
- Benguet
- Ilocos Norte
- Ilocos Sur
- La Union
- Pangasinan
- the northern portion of Zambales
- Tarlac
- Nueva Ecija
- Aurora
- the northern portion of Bulacan
- the northern portion of Pampanga
- the northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands
- the northern portion of Catanduanes

“Further southward shift of track is possible depending on the strength of the high pressure area located north of Paolo. After crossing the landmass of Northern Luzon, it will emerge over the West Philippine Sea tomorrow afternoon and will continue moving west northwestward until it exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Saturday morning,” PAGASA said.
The localized thunderstorms will affect the rest of the country.
