Kapuso actress Shuvee Etrata has this to say about the bashing and the negative comments after her old posts surfaced online.
Kapuso rising star Shuvee Etrata was embraced fully and loved by many because of a vibe as bright as the sunshine. For a time after her stint in Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition as a celebrity housemate, she was at the center of the spotlight for all the good reasons, but suddenly, tables were turned because of her old posts.
One of those included her old commentary about ABS-CBN superstar Vice Ganda. She expressed a distasteful remark about the Unkabogable Star in an old video, and it has ignited people to speculate.
In a previous article, Shuvee expressed that she wanted to talk to Vice.
“I sent a message regarding yung mga fake [news], yung mga lumalabas sa [social media]. Kasi gusto ko lang din iclarify yung side ko na, ‘Meme, I was always honest about my feelings to you, I never lied. I’ll wait, I’m here to wait naman,’” she explained.
Shuvee assured her fans that she has learned from her past actions and has become a better person now.
As for the negative comments, she has always been open to constructive criticism; however, the messages have puzzled her. These kinds of comments make her question herself about whether she had truly done anything wrong.
There were nights when she would weep and cry because of the issues. She expressed, “Parang pinagtutulungan ako ng lahat. Parang nagtataka ako kung ano ba maling ginawa ko–– may tinapakan ba akong tao? May ninakaw ba ako? May ginawa ba talaga akong kamuhimuhi?”
She asserted that she had always been against the ABS-CBN shutdown, and as for Vice, her reaction back then was fueled by thoughts that they were both girls and nothing more. She hopes that if her schedule permits, she’d be back on It’s Showtime.
