PAGASA Says Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that the easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country. 

On Monday (September 29, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition. 

PAGASA weather specialist Daniel Villamil reported that the easterlies will bring generally fair weather with chances of thunderstorms is expected across the country.

Moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Bulacan, Quezon, and Pampanga. 

Thunderstorms will prevail over eastern sections of the country from Tuesday (September 30) to Wednesday (October 1). Cagayan Valley and Aurora may experience cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms from Thursday (October 2) to Friday (October 3). 

Same weather conditions are expected over General Tinio in Nueva Ecija.

The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. 

The skies will be partly cloudy, accompanied by brief rain showers caused by thunderstorms, especially in the eastern section,” Villamil said. 

The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains. 

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards, which include flash floods and landslides,” Villamil explained. 

Generally fair weather is expected over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao. 

“It will be hot and humid in the morning and at noon, but from afternoon to evening, the usual chance of late-afternoon to evening thunderstorms will still be present,” he explained. 

The coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA
