PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (September 23, 2025)
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that Super Typhoon Nando is set to leave PAR this morning.
On Tuesday (September 23, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical and Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Super Typhoon Nando will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that Super Typhoon Nando continues to weaken as it heads to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It was last spotted 265 kilometers west of Calayan, Cagayan.

Nando packs maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 230 kph. It is expected to move generally west-northwest until it exits the country.
“Nando is forecast to move generally west-northwestward until it exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility this morning. Afterwards, it will turn westward [on Wednesday] towards southern China,” Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said.
However, Signal No. 3 is still up over Ilocos Norte, the northwestern portion of Apayao, the northwestern portion of mainland Cagayan including the western portion of the Babuyan Islands.

The super typhoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Zambales, Tarlac, and Nueva Ecija.
The southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, CALABARZON, and the rest of Central Luzon.
Habagat will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Another low-pressure area outside PAR has a chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
“There is a high chance, or a strong possibility, that this will develop into a storm within 24 hours. So by Tuesday, this could already develop into a storm and may enter PAR,” Badrina added.
