James Blanco Opens Up About Death & Why He Is Not Afraid to Leave This World
JAMES BLANCO – In a candid and emotional conversation, James Blanco shared his deeply personal thoughts about life, faith, and why the idea of going to heaven no longer frightens him.
Actor James Blanco recently shared a deeply personal perspective about life, death, and faith, revealing that he does not fear death and even feels ready for what comes after.
In the latest episode of Ogie Diaz Inspires, which aired on Friday, March 13, the actor opened up about his thoughts while discussing his relationship with his three children, including former Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition 2.0 housemate Iñigo Jose.

During the conversation, James confirmed what Iñigo had previously shared when he appeared in an episode of host Ogie Diaz’s vlog.
“Napanood ko ‘yong interview mo sa kaniya,” said James. “Hindi pa kami nakakapag-usap talaga.”
The actor admitted that it pains him that he is currently not with his children, especially since they used to be very close. He also shared how much he misses them.
“Sobra,” he said, “kasi anak ko buhay ko, e. Buhay ko ‘yong mga anak ko.”
According to James, any advice he gives his children comes from a place of concern and love, especially now that he is getting older. He expressed a heartfelt wish that his children would listen to what he wants to say while he is still strong, rather than waiting until he is already hospitalized.
He explained that he does not want his children to experience emotional pain during such a difficult moment. Despite talking openly about death, the actor emphasized that he is not afraid of it.
“Kung papipiliin lang ako, ‘di ba may kasabihan na lahat tayo gustong pumunta sa langit pero ayaw mauna? Ako, hindi. Nagmamadali pa ako. Ako na,” said James.
The actor further elaborated on his strong faith and belief in God’s promises.
“Papunta na ako sa langit, e. Bakit pa ako magse-stay dito? Ang ganda-ganda ng promise ng Panginoon, e. Bakit pa ako dito nagsa-suffer na ako rito?”
James also shared that there are moments when his body reportedly becomes paralyzed, and during those times, he chooses not to fight it.
“Nando’n ‘yong pangako ng Diyos, e. Wala na akong pain na mararamdaman,” he explained.
Despite these thoughts, James said he feels happy for people who accepted God before passing away because he believes they are headed to a better place. In contrast, he noted that those who remain in the world continue to face suffering and hardships in life.
