Carla Abellana and Edu Manzano shared their thoughts in the flood control projects anomaly
Celebrities Edu Manzano and Carla Abellana shared posts about the pile of alleged “stolen money” that was found inside the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Office.
This issue of anomalous flood control projects has been a hot topic on social media, since a Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing is being held for this. Through this, the public has been witnessing revelations about the supposed corruption happening in the government.
A House of Representatives’ probe was also held, in which several photos showing piles of money on a DPWH office table were presented.
In an Instagram story, Carla Abellana shared a photo of the alleged “stolen money” and stressed that her money was there. “Ayun ‘yung pera ko oh. Nakita ko na,” the Kapuso actress said.
Edu Manzano also shared a photo of the money, but did an AI-generated photo showing that he was eating chicharon bulaklak. The veteran actor also included the image of Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson.
Aside from Carla and Edu, veteran journalist Karen Davila also shared her thoughts on this issue. She said that this is where the taxes of Filipinos go, the billions of kickbacks to politicians and those who are in the DPWH.
“Isipin n’yo – hundreds of millions in cash, nasa opisina at ipinambabayad na kickback? SOP daw sa senador – 30% kada infra project?!” she said, adding that this is a tragedy and that people should be made accountable.
News anchor Jervi Wrightson, also known as Kaladkaren, said that this scenario is “nakakakilabot.” For her, more than just stolen money, this stole the right of Filipinos to have a better life.
