Recently, Karel Kat Lopez, a Facebook user, shared one of a kind curriculum vitae, turning a usually formal document into something entertaining. The post garnered various reactions from the internet users.
Instead of a serious tone, Karel’s CV introduced herself in a funny and confident way. She asked potential employers to contact her right away if they were the boss she was looking for, and even reminded them not to send repeat emails and just wait for her call.
In the work experience section, she shared that in 2020, she worked as a cashier but left because “the uniform was not giving.” In 2021, she said he became a “one-line seller” but clarified it was “not products, just service.”
By 2022, she humorously listed “live in with Mark” as an experience, saying it was the best thing but had to end when an overseas girlfriend came back. For 2023, she proudly called herself a “fresh graduate, passer to all bars,” even giving shoutouts to friends Bryan and Ronald over drinks.
Lopez didn’t stop there, she listed her salary demand at P30,000, with Sundays off, an 8-to-5 schedule, maternity leave “just in case,” and described herself as “naughty.” Her skills included being a “very fresh graduate, not haggard, good communication skills, and photogenic.”
A curriculum vitae or CV is a document used when applying for a job. It usually lists a person’s education, work experience, and skills. Karel’s version shows that sometimes, a bit of humor can make job hunting more fun and memorable.
