Famous actress Kim Domingo bids goodbye to “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” as the sultry yet valiant Madonna of the top-rating series.
For over a year, Madonna brought a sultry and valiant kick to the life and adventures of Tanggol. This role is played by actress Kim Domingo, and recently, she took her last bow as Madonna in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”
Madonna was a fierce female fighter and loyal comrade, serving under the Caballero clan. In the story, she eventually became an ally in the battles of Tanggol. Recently, her character was killed during a clash between Tanggol’s group and the men of his own father, Ramon. They attempted to stop an illegal transaction.
After shooting her final episode in the series, the team made sure to give her a sweet farewell from the show. Gushing about her inclusion in the series, she shared, “Very happy ako na napunta ako sa role na ‘to, ni Madonna.”
According to her, the project came just right in time in her life and career, leaving her no reason to let go of it. She added, “Sino ba namang ayaw na mapasama sa ‘Batang Quiapo’ na show. At siyempre makasama ang isang Direk Coco Martin.”
She is happy to be part of the show, and she is nothing but grateful for the rewarding opportunity. She learned a lot from everyone, especially in doing action scenes.
A standout memory from her time on the series was the dramatic debut of her role, which instantly placed her in a heated confrontation with Coco. The introduction was both tense and exhilarating, leaving her deeply moved by the warm reception the teleserye provided.
The action scenes she did in the series were on another level, and now that she has closed a chapter in the series, she expressed to Coco Martin, “Hindi ko na-imagine na makakaeksena kita. Hindi sumagi sa isip ko na makakasama kita sa isang proyekto.”
She then added, “Sana hindi pa ito ang huling pagsasama natin.”
Meanwhile, while one character bade goodbye, the series welcomed several more for more toughness and punches in the story. Among the new stars in the series are Aljur Abrenica, Baron Geisler, Maris Racal, Perla Bautista, Roi Vinzon, Richard Quan, Aleck Bovick, and Via Antonio.
