Huge Snake Spotted in Floodwaters Amid Typhoon Tino
TALISAY CITY, CEBU – A huge snake was spotted swimming in the floodwaters during the height of Typhoon Tino.
On Tuesday morning (November 4, 2025), Rickamae A. Manlangit, a Facebook user, shared a video of a huge snake swimming in the floodwaters. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, the large snake can be seen gliding through murky waters as heavy rain continued to pour over the province. The incident added to the tension in the community, which was already dealing with widespread flooding and property damage caused by the typhoon.

Many residents were surprised, saying it was unusual to see such a large reptile in their area. Online users expressed various reactions, with some joking about how terrifying it must be to encounter a snake in the middle of a flood.
Others showed concern for both the animal and the people affected, pointing out that wild creatures are often displaced from their natural habitats during severe weather events.
Aside from the snake, netizens also noticed a chicken trapped in its cage nearby, its head sticking out of the water as the reptile swam past. Many hoped the animal survived the situation.
“And if the flooding isn’t horrific enough in the Philippines, there are snakes swimming through the floodwaters. Absolute nightmare fuel,” @volcaholic1/X user said.
Experts remind the public that snakes and other wildlife often seek higher ground or safe places during floods. Authorities also advise residents to stay cautious and avoid wading through floodwaters, as displaced animals may be lurking nearby.
The video reminds the public of how typhoons not only endanger humans but also force animals into unfamiliar and dangerous situations as they struggle to survive the storm.
