Maris Racal, and Other New Additions In “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo”

‘Batang Quiapo’ earns Maris Racal and other news stars.

Kapamilya actress Maris Racal and other characters are set to enter the long-running primetime series, “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”

ABS-CBN’s flagship primetime drama ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ is set to mark a new chapter. New characters were unlocked to give more story and substance to the gripping story and action-packed life of Tanggol.

The series has been running for many years now, and in every chapter flipped, new characters are introduced. Last week, it was confirmed that former Kapuso star Aljur Abrenica has joined the Kapamilya serye, taking on the role of police lieutenant Hector Victorino.

Abrenica appeared in episode 662 of the series and is expected to bring that extra punch of toughness into Tanggol’s story. He is grateful and added that he is excited to be working with the production. The fact that he is officially a part of the successful series already feels like an achievement in itself.

Fresh from the success of ‘Incognito,’ Baron Geisler and Maris Racal are also joining the powerhouse cast. In this series, Maris is portraying a policewoman named Ponggay. She described herself as someone young, idealistic, naive, and craving for change.

She is grateful for her experience in Incognito, as she was able to use what she learned there in Batang Quiapo. The actress added, “Mayroon na kaming mga extreme action scenes na shinoot dito buti na lang fresh pa yung knowledge ko from my previous serye, Incognito. Ayun, nae-enjoy ko siya, ang dami kong ka-work na masasaya.”

Also, making their way to the drama series are Perla Bautista, Roi Vinzon, Richard Quan, Aleck Bovick, and Via Antonio.

Meanwhile, Coco Martin, the lead actor and director of the series, spoke about his real-life partner, Julia Montes joining the series as a producer. According to him, it was her personal growth and as her partner, he is always there to support her in whatever endeavor she wants to pursue.
