Vico Sotto quipped about this post shared by ABS-CBN
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto had a funny reaction to the camera angle that media company ABS-CBN chose, and this caught netizens’ attention.
Mayor Vico’s popularity goes beyond the city that he is governing. With how he promotes good governance, the young politicians garnered the admiration not just of Pasiguenos but also Filipinos from other parts of the country.
The son of showbiz veterans Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes chose the path of public service, and his track record is celebrated by his constituents.

Just recently, Mayor Vico Sotto became a trending topic on social media, news sites, and news programs. It is because of his controversial post calling out veteran journalists, Korina Sanchez and Julius Babao, for their alleged “paid interviews” with businesswoman Sarah Discaya, who is allegedly involved in DPWH’s anomalous flood control project.
The Pasig City Mayor received praise for raising this issue. However, there were those who criticized him, like Kapuso journalist Arnold Clavio, who challenged him to show proof of what he stated on his Facebook post. A commentary was also released by a news site telling the public to “Beware of Mr. Clean.”
Amid this issue, ABS-CBN interviewed the young politician. During the interview, Mayor Vico stressed that corruption should not be normalized, and people should regard this as a shameful thing.
After the interview was released, the public servant shared a screenshot of the media company’s Facebook post. He took notice of the camera angle used in the video.
“Teka lang alam ko seryosong topic ito pero natawa ako sa anggulo ng camera.. Pano nalang kaya kung may kulangot ako??
Partida may 2 camera siyang kasama pero itong video galing cp. Parang kumukuha ng pirated sa sinehan eh,” Mayor Vico said.
Obviously, the Mayor was just kidding as he said, “Maam peace po tayo ha.” In the comment section of his post, the public servant had a serious pronouncement regarding Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials, or SECTION 4(h) of R.A. 6713.
It was stated, “Public officials and employees and their families shall lead modest lives appropriate to their positions and income. They shall not indulge in extravagant or ostentatious display of wealth in any form.” Many netizens agreed with what the Mayor said about this.

In the comment section, ABS-CBN also had a funny reaction to Mayor Vico Sotto’s post, “Sorry, akin [grinning face with sweat emoji].”
