Korina Sanchez clarifies the reason her interview with Sarah Discaya was removed.
Following the claims of Mayor Vico Sotto, the interview of Korina Sanchez with Sarah Discaya has been taken down, and this is the reason why.
Pasig City Mayor Vico’s previous post was about paid interviews of veteran broadcasters with contractors who planned to enter the political arena. The screenshot he shared was the respective interviews of Julius Babao and Korina Sanchez with Sarah Discaya.
He emphasized that media personalities should take a step back and reflect on why certain individuals are willing to pay a hefty amount just to secure a feature. Such actions already raise critical questions about their motives, intentions, and the potential influence the interview may have on the public.
Sanchez’s camp reacted to the post and denied that the host was paid a huge amount for an interview. In a previous article, Babao also reacted to the accusations and denied any financial incentives. He quipped, “Walang katotohanang may 10 million na involved for this interview.”
Following the post going viral, Sanchez’s interview has been taken down. In her replies to the comments online, the female broadcaster has been throwing shade at the “Php 10 million” claims. One of the people online asked why the interview was deleted, and her reply was, “It is policy that ALL interviews of candidates be deleted. Does that [answer] your question?”
In another comment, the commenter’s point urged Sanchez to directly address allegations being thrown at her. Some points were raised, such as Korina facing allegations for years now, but she seems to brush them off instead of confronting them, the repeated avoidance that, according to the commenter, has damaged her credibility, and that she should file a case if the latest accusations aren’t true.
In a response, Korina noted that her producers have already released a strong, irrefutable response to the issue. She firmly declared she is not guilty of doing anything wrong.
