The construction industry is a field often led by men, but amid the males, one female stood out and carved her path. Fondly called “Ate Sarah,” Sarah Discaya defied the odds and worked her way up. She was a minimum-wage worker and became one of the most respected figures in the industry.
Currently, her name is making a loud buzz online. Apart from the viral post of Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, she was involved and being probed regarding the corruption in flood management projects.
Discaya was invited to the inquiry regarding this allegation, as she was listed as the president of Alpha and Omega Gen. Contractor & Development Corp. St. Timothy Construction Corp. is also linked with Discaya.
Who is Sarah Discaya?
Her full name is Cezarah Rowena Discaya. She was born to hardworking parents who worked in London. Her past makes her no stranger to struggle. Sarah’s mother worked as a chambermaid in a hotel, and in the same hotel, her father worked as a waiter. In the same city, she finished her basic education.
She then took up business administration in the Philippines at La Consolacion College, where she studied Management of Service Institution, and at the Pasig Catholic College. She majored in Computer Management.
Financially, she struggled while studying, but with big dreams, she was able to pull it off, which would later lead to her success. She started as a receptionist and climbed the corporate ladder quickly. She was a communications specialist, marketing specialist, recruitment specialist, and liaison officer.
She also became an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, but her biggest break happened in 2015 when she entered the construction industry.
Sarah started as a marketing promoter at St. Gerrard Construction General Contractor and Development Corporation. With her dedication and perseverance, she received promotions and secured the position of Vice President and later Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Her husband owns Pasig-based St. Gerrard Construction General Contractor Development Corp.

A LOT OF BS! sounds like a paid advertisement, what is the background of his husband to own a construction company? what is the educational attainment of sarad discaya to hold a CFO position in a company? what is her SALN from before she started with the construction firm up to the present? with 40 luxury cars, amounting to roughly 500 million pesos, can she justify her salary or compensation to afford all of that?
this is not journalism, this is not Philippine news! this is a paid advertisement of sarh discaya to even remotely clear her dirty name in the land of corruption! she is just 1/2 of the problem… how about the government official who started the flood project to be awarded to her
company… that should also be investigated.
