Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Meets Family’s Supporters in Paris, France
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President made a quick stop in Paris, France before heading to The Hague, Netherlands.
Amid the criticisms over her frequent overseas trips, Vice Pres. Duterte continues to fly abroad and meet the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in gatherings. Previously, amid the criticisms, Vice Pres. Duterte claimed she does not like traveling at all except for the holidays, but, recently, her office claimed that her trips are part of her mandate.
MalacaƱang previously claimed that it is already the choice of Vice Pres. Duterte if she prefers to be busy in her overseas travels. When asked about the possible violation that the Vice President may be committing with her overseas trips, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro cited her obligation to the Filipino people.
Castro also stressed that the Filipinos are seeing what their elected officials are doing. Amid the claim of Duterte that she continues to work even when is out of the country, the MalacaƱang press official dared her to submit reports of the work she did but the Vice President declined.
After the May 2025 Midterm Elections, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has been to at least four (4) countries ā in Doha, Qatar where she met some Duterte supporters; in The Hague, Netherlands for the visit to her father, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte; in Malaysia for the PH Independence Day event celebration; and the in Australia to join the Free Duterte Now rally.
Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is currently detained under the custody of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands. He is faced with an allegation of crimes against humanity over the drug war of his administration.
In fact, following her travel to Kuwait which was confirmed by Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s office and defended as authorized and part of her mandate, the Vice President is set to fly to The Hague next for her father.
