The number of followers on the FB Page of Vice Ganda diminished
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda reached 20 million followers a few days ago, but on August 11, the number dropped to 19 million.
Vice is indeed one of the most followed showbiz personalities. His popularity in mainstream media reflects on the number of followers and subscribers he has across all social media platforms.

Three days ago, a fan account on Instagram announced that the Unkabogable Star reached 20 million followers on Facebook, a platform widely used in the Philippines.

However, on Monday, it can be noticed that Vice Ganda’s FB page no longer reached the 20 million number. It was reduced to over 19 million.

A post on Reddit showed that over 30 thousand followers were diminished from Vice’s number of followers. However, his avid supporters stressed this would not affect the status of the It’s Showtime host in the entertainment industry.

The unfollowing of many netizens was attributed to the criticism that Vice received from the supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte.
To recall, Vice had a 2-day concert at the Araneta Coliseum with Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, titled Super Divas. In one of his stints, Vice did his version of the Jet 2 Holidays trend in which he joked about Duterte’s ICC arrest, and the former President’s relationship with China.

Vice was criticized by British citizen Malcolm Conlan, who is a known Duterte supporter, because of that joke, which, for him, was inappropriate.
Many Diehard Duterte Supporters (DDS) also slammed Vice, and one FB page even asked the Davao City Government to declare the comedian persona non grata. Amid the issue, the most recent FB post that Vice shared also received negative reactions. As of this writing, the Kapamilya star has not spoken yet about this issue.
