Tondo Residents Caught Stealing Copper Wires After Large Fire
Some residents in Tondo, Manila were caught on camera stealing copper wires just moments after a large fire hit their area.
The fire, which lasted for six hours, left more than 1,000 families homeless. It was so intense that firefighters had to call in a helicopter for support. Three people were injured, including two firefighters who were helping put out the flames.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire. One of the possible reasons being looked into is the burning of scrap materials to extract copper, which may have led to the blaze.

A few moments after the fire was put out, some residents were seen pulling out bronze wires from the debris. Instead of helping with the cleanup or offering assistance to affected neighbors, these individuals were seen taking materials from the damaged homes and buildings.
The incident immediately went viral online and drew criticism from netizens. Many people expressed their disappointment, saying that such actions only make it harder for the community to recover.

Others called for stricter security measures and a proper investigation to hold those involved accountable.
While many families continue to face uncertainty and loss after the disaster, the focus now shifts to rebuilding efforts and addressing issues of safety and order in the area. Authorities are expected to release further updates as they look deeper into the cause of the fire and the events that followed.
