Kapuso star AZ Martinez was joining beauty pageants before PBB, and this is what she said about rejoining beauty competitions.
Before being an actress, AZ Martinez was the Hiyas ng Pilipinas Miss Elite Philippines 2022 and Miss Summit International 2023 beauty pageant titleholder. In 2023, she proudly represented the Philippines at Miss Summit International. She is thankful for “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition Collab” as it paved the way for her to be seen by more people.
She is among the Big 4 of the latest season, where the winners were:
- 4th Big Place: AZ Martinez and River Joseph
- 3rd Big Placer: Charlie Fleming and Esnyr Ranollo
- 2nd Big Placer: Will Ashley and Ralph De Leon
- Big Winners: Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo
After PBB, is she joining beauty pageants again?
In an interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, she is still in the adjustment period over the massive love and support following her PBB stint. She never expected the fandom she has now, and she is just super grateful for the support and love.
About joining beauty pageants, she is not closing the doors for the opportunities, but for now, her focus is on acting in the entertainment industry. This plan might change, and she might consider doing it again. She is just giving herself a few years to focus on the path that she is currently on.
“Gusto ko talaga mag act. I want to have like teleserye, movies. Pero aside from that gusto ko din mag host. I really wanna try hosting. Iniisip ko nung nag beauty queen ako,” she stated.
She discovered her desire for hosting after joining pageants. This was one of the things she also realized she wanted to try, aside from wanting to become a beauty queen.
