Daniel Padilla supports the showbiz career of his sister Carmella
Supreme Idol Daniel Padilla was asked about the decision of his sister Carmella to enter the Philippine entertainment industry.
Daniel came from a prominent showbiz clan. He is the son of Karla Estrada and Rommel Padilla. He was able to establish his name in the industry as one of the most in-demand actors of his generation.
Just recently, his sister Carmella officially signed a contract with Star Magic, the talent management company of ABS-CBN. In a recent interview, Daniel was asked about Carmella’s decision to enter showbiz.
The Supreme Idol shared that it was really his sister’s desire to be in the entertainment industry, based on the article in Manila Bulletin.
“Gusto niya talaga pumasok sa showbiz. I’ll just guide her,” Daniel Padilla said, adding that showbiz is not easy.
He told Carmella that if she really wants to be in showbiz, she needs to have strong resolve because many people may try to dictate to her what she should be.
Daniel also said that Carmella is lucky because he is present in her life to protect her. He also said that his sister still needs to prove herself, but he is already proud of her.
“Andyan na siya at magsisimula na siya. I’m just happy na she’s doing kung ano ang gusto niyang gawin,” the actor said. Then, Daniel was asked if he is a stage brother to Carmella, he said, “We will see —tignan natin. Hindi pa nagsisimula eh. But I’ll be very protective.”
Daniel Padilla has received acting recognition just recently for his role in the defunct Kapamilya series Incognito. Through this series, he proved that he could also do action scenes. His previous projects circles around romance, romantic comedy, and drama genres.
Because of his performance in Incognito, Daniel was praised by his uncle, actor-turned-politician Robin Padilla, who was tagged as the Bad Boy of Philippine Cinema.
