2 Teenage Boys Caught on CCTV Stealing Pair of Pants Hanging Outside House in Taytay, Rizal
Two teenage boys were caught on CCTV stealing a pair of pants hanging outside a house in Barangay San Isidro, Taytay, Rizal.
On early morning of Monday, July 28, 2025, a CCTV caught two teenagers stealing a pair of pants hanging outside a house.
The video showed the two minors, aged 14 and 17, walking along Loyola Street. They were seen looking around cautiously before one of them climbed the house’s grill to grab the pants that were drying on a clothesline. After getting the pants, they quickly ran away from the scene.

Barangay officials said they witnessed the act while monitoring their CCTV cameras and responded right away. They were able to track the boys to a nearby computer shop where they cornered them and brought them to the barangay hall for investigation.
“‘Yung mga kabataan po nasa computeran na po sila doon po namin na-corner ‘yung mga bata at dinala namin sa barangay upang imbestigahan,” Barangay San Isidro Officer-In-Charge Dominador Peñaranda said.
The suspects said they had already thrown the stolen pants away. They claimed they tossed the pants near a bridge because they thought the item was too old to keep. The boys later admitted they planned to sell the pants and use the money to play at the computer shop.
“Tinapon daw po nila sa may tulay dahil luma na raw po ‘yung pantalon na nakuha nila,” Peñaranda added.
The barangay turned over the minors to the Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) office for proper handling, given their age.
The incident raised concerned among locals, with some calling for better guidance and support for out-of-school youth. Others emphasized the importance of community vigilance and stronger values formation to help prevent petty crimes among young people.
