PCSO, PNP Chiefs Accompany First Lady Liza Marcos in Charitimba Distribution
First Lady Liza Marcos distributed “charitimba” food packs to the Filipinos affected by the bad weather in Manila.
The Philippines is currently having a rainy season and the Southwest Monsoon or the Habagat has caused flooding in several areas around the country. Pres. Bongbong Marcos even ordered the immediate suspension of the preparations related to his upcoming SONA (State of the Nation Address) in lieu of the situation.

Marcos Jr. is set to deliver his 4th SONA on July 28 but he wants all efforts now to focused in helping the Filipinos affected by the Habagat. He gave the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) the authority to announce class suspensions due to the inclement weather condition.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos is currently in the United States for a meeting with U.S. Pres. Donald Trump. While he’s in U.S., First Lady Liza Marcos is here in the country and recently helped some of the Filipinos affected by the bad weather.

Based on a post on the social media account of First Lady Liza Marcos, she went out to distribute “charitimba” to the residents of Legarda in Manila. According to the First Lady, her “bossing” which she seemingly refers to her husband, Pres. Bongbong Marcos, wished that he’s in the country to help the Filipinos affected by the Southwest Monsoon.

First Lady Liza Marcos distributed “charitimba” pack which includes ready-to-eat meals, three (3) kilograms of rice, canned goods, and other essentials. Based on the post, the wife of the President was accompanied by Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Mel Robles and Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Nicolas Torre III.

Amid the Philippines battling the impact of the Southwest Monsoon, Pres. Bongbong Marcos issued a statement assuring the Filipinos that the government is here to provide the services they need while facing the challenge of climate change. He assured the public that they will make sure to strengthen the capacity of the government to respond in situations like this.
The President has yet to return to the country. U.S. Pres. Donald Trump has many good words for Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
