Hardworking Delivery Rider Braves Flood in Malabon Just to Serve Customers
A hardworking delivery rider earns praise from the online community for braving the flood just to deliver parcels to his customers.
Christian Kevin De Guzman, a delivery man assigned in Potrero, Malabon, didn’t let the flood stop him from fulfilling his duty. The went the extra mile during a heavy downpour just to serve his customers.
Despite warnings from fellow riders about the rising water levels in the area, Christian still pushed forward. He had already spent most of the day trying to complete deliveries, and giving up on this one felt like a waste.

More than that, De Guzman believed that someone might really be waiting for the parcel he was holding.
“Naisip ko rin po na baka may customer na need nila ang parcel na hawak ko sa araw na iyon kaya pinilit ko na lang po para rin sa ikakabuti ng aking mga customer,” Christian said.
On July 21, 2025, Eugene Prestoza Francica, a Facebook user, shared a video of Christian wading through the flood with determination. His feet were soaked, the rain was nonstop, but his focus remained to get the job done.
Many netizens admired his dedication, calling him hardworking and selfless. While the task may have seemed simple, walking through floodwaters can be risky.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health continues to advise the public to take extra precautions during the rainy season. Illnesses like leptospirosis remain a serious threat, especially when people walk through floodwaters with open wounds or bare feet.
The delivery rider’s small but meaningful act portrays how service workers quietly go above and beyond, rain or shine.
The video has a caption:
“cancel ang baha malakas yung trabaho.”
