BATO DELA ROSA – The Duterte-ally Senator dared the Marcos Jr. administration to arrest him, too, if they allegedly want to do the same mistake again.

Dela Rosa has tagged himself as the alleged second in the list of the International Criminal Court (ICC) of the personalities who may be arrested for the investigation of the Duterte drug war. Previously, he has changed his stance multiple times over the matter.

Sen. Dela Rosa was the chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) during the war on drugs of the Duterte administration. Currently, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is detained under the custody of the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands where he is faced with an allegation of crimes against humanity because of his drug war.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos was heavily-blamed over the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. Amid the criticisms, Malacañang defended Pres. Marcos from betrayal accusations saying the government only did its job.

Recently, Marcos Jr.’s Executive Secretary, Lucas Bersamin, claimed that Sen. Bato dela Rosa may face a similar fate with former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. According to the Marcos Cabinet official, the government would have to move for the arrest unless the Supreme Court has an order for a due process.

Recently, Sen. Bato dela Rosa spoke on the possible arrest if the ICC issues an arrest warrant against him. Based on a report on Inquirer, the Duterte-ally Senator dared the Marcos administration to arrest him, too, if they allegedly want to make the same mistake again.

According to Sen. Bato dela Rosa, what was done to former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte was allegedly a huge mistake. Based on the report, he stressed that the Marcos admin can do the same to him.

“What they did to President Duterte was a very big mistake, and if they’re willing to do the same mistake again, then they can do the same,” the Senator said.

Previously, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that her name is allegedly on the ICC list of personalities who might be arrested for the investigation of the drug war of the previous admin. According to her, there are several names ahead of hers and one of those was allegedly Dela Rosa’s.

Recently, Malacañang spoke on the possible arrest warrant against Sen. Bato dela Rosa and other alleged co-perpetrators of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte in the drug war.
