Taxi Driver Apologizes After Overcharging Passenger in Davao
A taxi driver in Davao City has apologized after overcharging a passenger at Davao International Airport.

Recently, a taxi driver in Davao City recently asked for forgiveness after he reportedly overcharged a passenger who rode his cab from Davao International Airport to the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT).
According to the driver, he honestly thought the passenger gave him three P100 bills. It was only when he parked and took a closer look that he realized they were actually three P1,000 bills.
By then, the passenger had already left, unaware that he had been overcharged by a large amount.
Eventually, the passenger filed a complaint. Both the passenger and the driver met at the LTFRB Region 11 office for a formal discussion about what happened. The meeting took place on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, with the goal of clearing up the issue.
The driver admitted the mistake and explained it was never his intention to take advantage of the passenger. He said he was confused at the time and didn’t realize the amount he received until much later. He then asked for forgiveness and expressed his regret over the incident.
Stories like this remind both drivers and passengers to always double-check their money during transactions. Mistakes can happen, especially during busy or stressful moments, but being careful can help avoid misunderstandings.
