Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Visits Dad Rodrigo in The Hague Again
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President admitted her concern on where former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte will live if Honeylet Avanceña will sell their house in Davao City.
The Vice President is in The Hague again for a few weeks as she has scheduled visits to her father, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. The former Chief Executive is detained under the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague for more than 100 days now.

The elder Duterte is faced with an accusation of crimes against humanity for his administration’s war on drugs. Duterte’s camp has sought his interim release from the ICC detention facility but there’s no update about the foreign court’s response to it yet.
Recently, the common-law wife of the former Chief Executive, Honeylet Avanceña, confirmed that her and former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s house in Davao City is up for sale. Her confirmation came after a “for sale” sign was hang outside the gate of their residence in Davao.

Duterte’s residence is at Doña Luisa Village in Barangay Matina, Davao. However, shortly after the “for sale” sign made abuzz online, it was removed. Reportedly, Davao acting mayor Baste Duterte had the sign removed.

Davao Congressman Paolo Duterte was also quick to say in an interview that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is against the selling of his house in Davao City despite his detention under the ICC. Honeylet Avanceña previously claimed that it saddens her whenever she would visit their former residence with her partner now detained abroad.
According to Avanceña, there are four household helpers in the said house with no master. She does not stay there anymore as the lawyers advised that CCTVs would be installed even inside the bedroom for safety purposes.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte who is currently in The Hague, Netherlands, spoke on the issue of selling the house of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte in Davao City. Based on a report on GMA News, the Vice President recognized that her father and Honeylet Avanceña are co-owners of the said property.
According to her, as a lawyer, she thinks that the house at Doña Luisa Village is under the status of a co-ownership between her father and his long-time partner, thus, Avanceña can really sell her share of the property but not the entire house.

“As a daughter, I was just thinking where PRRD will live if they sell the house, this is one of my concerns,” the Vice President said.
Based on the report, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte said it is up to former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Honeylet Avanceña to discuss the matter. According to her, her mother, Elizabeth Zimmerman, is also fine with her father staying as her house.
When asked if former Pres. Duterte and his ex-wife, Elizabeth, are reconciling, the Vice President answered in the negative. According to her, there is “just friendship” between her parents.
Previously, it was reported that Vice Pres. Sara Duterte wants the house of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte in Davao opened to the public.
