Based on a report on GMA News, the ICC prosecutor submitted the 11th batch of evidence against former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. The document was dated July 1 and over a thousand pieces of new evidence were submitted to the defense team of the former Chief Executive.

The submission of the pieces of evidence is in line with the rules and procedure of the ICC. Based on the report, among the new pieces of evidence against former Pres. Duterte were the alleged killings when he was still the mayor of Davao City.

The former President has held the mayoralty position in Davao City for several years before he won the presidential race in 2016 through a landslide victory. His winning has undeniably expanded the number of Duterte supporters in the country.

In the 2025 Midterm Elections, the former President won mayor in Davao City. However, he has yet to take his oath. The Commission on Elections or Comelec recently said that Duterte’s fate as the winning mayor of Davao is already up to the DILG or the Department of Interior and Local Government.
