Authorities Arrest Construction Worker in Antipolo for Breaking Into NBI Agent’s House
A construction worker was arrested after breaking into the home of a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agent in Antipolo City, Rizal.
The 28-year-old suspect admitted to the crime and said that his main goal was to steal a firearm from the house.
According to the police, the suspect worked at a construction site near the victim’s home in a subdivision in Barangay San Roque. The 60-year-old NBI agent had earlier asked the suspect to grill some food for his birthday celebration.

However, the party was moved to a resort, leaving the house empty for the night. The suspect then took advantage of the situation, thinking no one was at home.
Surveillance footage from a neighbor’s CCTV camera showed the suspect entering the house on June 29, 2025. He used a ladder to climb to the second floor and got in through a window. The victim later returned to find the window open and the ladder still in place.
During the police investigation, fellow construction workers identified the man in the CCTV footage as their co-worker. When police searched his living quarters at the construction site, they found the stolen items, which included jewelry, a cellphone, and over P50,000 in cash. The suspect had hidden the stolen gun inside a sack of cement.
The suspect, identified only as “Danilo,” confessed to the crime and said he wanted a gun to take revenge for his brother, who was shot dead last April.
He is now facing robbery charges and remains in the custody of the Antipolo City Police. Authorities continue to investigate if he is linked to other crimes in the area.
