Bongbong Marcos Demands Justice as Probe Deepens Into Disappearance of Sabungeros

Bongbong Marcos Pushes Authorities to Uncover Truth Behind Sabungeros’ Mysterious Disappearance

BONGBONG MARCOS – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has called for a full investigation into the mysterious disappearance of dozens of sabungeros, urging authorities to uncover the truth and hold those responsible accountable.

Marcos Jr. has instructed law enforcement agencies to press on with an in-depth investigation into the disappearance of numerous sabungeros or cockfighting enthusiasts. This development comes after a new witness came forward, alleging that about 20 police officers were behind the abduction and killing of more than a hundred individuals connected to cockfighting operations.

In a press briefing at Malacañang, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro relayed the President’s directive. “Ipagpatuloy po ang malalimang pag-iimbestiga para malaman kung sino ba talaga ang sangkot dito at mapanagot ang dapat mapanagot,” she said. The President’s order underscores the urgency to uncover the truth and hold those responsible accountable.

Castro emphasized the need for solid evidence to back the statements given by witnesses. “Ayon nga rin po sa DOJ ay mayroon pong apat na witnesses na maaaring tumulong, pero kailangan pa nilang i-evaluate ang mga testimony nila para malaman kung sino iyong puwedeng maging state witness,” she added. This careful vetting process aims to ensure that credible and useful information will aid the legal process.

According to the report, the Palace also reaffirmed its trust in the Philippine judicial system following concerns raised by the Department of Justice (DOJ). The DOJ previously warned that the alleged mastermind of the abductions might attempt to sway court proceedings due to their financial resources. Nevertheless, Malacañang stood firm in its belief that the courts will deliver justice fairly. “Naniniwala po tayo sa integridad ng ating korte at ito ay masusolusyunan na naaayon sa batas at naaayon sa rule of law,” Castro assured.

The witness further disclosed chilling details, claiming the missing sabungeros had been killed—strangled with wire—and their bodies disposed of in Taal Lake.

The case has drawn national attention, not only because of the number of victims involved but also due to the implications of alleged police involvement. As investigations continue, the public remains watchful, hoping for justice and closure for the victims and their families.
