Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte Speaks on Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte & his House in Davao
RODRIGO DUTERTE – The former President is against the selling of his house in Davao City as per his son, Davao First District Representative Paolo Duterte.
Recently, the long-time partner of former Pres. Duterte, Honeylet Avanceña, confirmed the selling of their house in Davao City. According to Honeylet, she and her daughter are no longer staying in the said residential property due to security reasons.
Honeylet Avanceña also claimed that there are four (4) household helpers in the said house but they have no master now since she is the only one (1) who visits it from time to time. Former Pres. Duterte’s long-time partner admitted that she’s hurt every time she visits the house.
Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is detained for more than 100 days now under the custody of the ICC or the International Criminal Court. Last March 11, upon his arrival from Hong Kong, he was no longer able to go home to Davao as he was arrested by the Philippine authorities.
On the same day of his arrest, Duterte was flown to The Hague, Netherlands via Dubai. He is currently faced with an accusation of crimes against humanity over the controversial war on drugs of his administration. The said campaign is linked to several deaths.
All the children of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte have visited him inside the ICC detention facility in The Hague, Netherlands. They took turns in visiting their father. The former Chief Executive’s ex-wife, Elizabeth Zimmerman, and his common-law wife, Honeylet Avanceña, were also able to see him.
Recently, Davao Congressman Paolo Duterte was able to visit former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte inside the ICC detention facility in The Hague. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Davao Congressman claimed he asked his father over the selling of his house in Davao City.
Based on the report, Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is against the selling of his house in Davao City. According to him, the said house is the first house of the former President and he does not want it sold.
“Amo siyang gipangutana kung ibaligya ba daw ang balay — dili gyud daw. Kana iyang balay, mao daw na ang iyang unang balay, ug dili gyud siya gusto nga ibaligya na,” he said.
Based on the report, Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte also clarified that the said house is different from the residential property owned by Honeylet Avanceña. According to him, his father’s long-time partner has a huge house and it is not the house where they’re staying.
The younger Duterte also gave an update on the condition of his father inside the ICC detention facility in The Hague. According to the Davao Congressman, the former President is fine and he keeps on joking.
Previously, it was reported that Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is against the selling of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and Honeylet Avanceña’s house in Davao City.
