Coco Martin talked about McCoy de Leon’s character
Kapamilya actor-director Coco Martin revealed the reason for terminating David in Batang Quiapo, the character portrayed by McCoy de Leon.
Coco is known for having star-studded teleseryes. He would feature stars from different generations and would even give a chance to newbie celebrities. His teleseryes have been winning the ratings game. However, Batang Quiapo was recently defeated by the pilot episode of the Kapuso fantasy series Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.
One of the recent episodes of Batang Quiapo that became a trending topic was the death of David. McCoy de Leon has been giving life to this character for a couple of years now.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Coco Martin revealed the reason why McCoy de Leon’s character faced his death. The actor-director said that it was already long overdue.
McCoy had been part of the action-drama series for two years now. Coco shared that McCoy’s character was initially intended to last only for the pilot week.

Coco also teased that the viewers of BQ could expect breathtaking scenes in the following episodes.
Meanwhile, when asked his opinion about ABS-CBN’s decision to end the franchise shows and just focus on creating their own content, Coco Martin said that it is difficult to say something about this because it is the business side. He said that whatever their home network’s decision is, they are ready to support.
