Tricycle Driver May Lose His License Revocation Over Hanging Teen Rider
A tricycle driver from Antipolo may lose his license after allowing a teenage boy to dangerously hang onto the back of his tricycle.
A tricycle driver from Antipolo faces license revocation after allowing a teenage boy, who was half-naked, to hang onto the back of his tricycle during a public ride. The incident happened along Sumulong Highway.
In the video, a 16-year-old boy is seen without his shorts, dancing while clinging to the tricycle as it moves. The scene raised alarm online and quickly reached the attention of authorities. Both the teen and the driver have now been identified.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has already issued a show cause order to the tricycle driver, requiring him to explain his side during a hearing scheduled for June 25. According to the LTO, the driver had a responsibility to stop or report the inappropriate act but chose to ignore it instead.
Officials pointed out that the driver was close enough to the teen to clearly see what was happening, yet he allowed the stunt to continue throughout a long stretch of the trip. This raised questions about his fitness to operate a public vehicle.
“Yung bata na ito ay malakas mantrip so nung tinanong namin ay trip trip lang daw yung ginawa niya. So hindi naman siya under the influence of liquor, and under the influence of drugs,” PLtCol. Mark Henry Garcia said.
If found negligent, the LTO may revoke his license for failing to act on an unlawful and indecent public display. Meanwhile, the minor involved is now under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The Antipolo police said the teen admitted he did it as a joke and was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Investigators are now looking into whether the driver encouraged or tolerated the boy’s actions. He is also facing possible charges of grave scandal.
