Sara Duterte Surprised by Sara-Imee Tandem: “Hindi ko alam kung anong nasa isip ni Senator Robin Padilla”

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President claimed she does not know what Senator Robin Padilla was thinking when he raised the Sara-Imee tandem.

Previously, Vice Pres. Duterte claimed that she is still undecided on whether or not she will run for president in 2028. According to her, there are a lot of factors to consider like the campaign funds and the machineries.

Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte previously expressed his belief that his arrest can lead to the presidency of his daughter. However, according to the Vice President, the time now is different compared to the previous elections when his father won a landslide victory despite not having enough funds.

However, recently, countless people were surprised by the claim of Sen. Robin Padilla who said he will be the campaign manager of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Sen. Imee Marcos in 2028. The actor-turned-Senator made the remarks at the Philippine Independence Day celebration with the Filipino community in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Senator who is one of the most loyal allies of the Duterte family asked the Filipinos in Kuala Lumpur to campaign for Sara-Imee to their families in the Philippines. He claimed that it is the last chance of the Filipino people.

At the said event, Sen. Robin Padilla also called Vice Pres. Sara Duterte the “next president of the Philippines”. Recently, the Vice President spoke on Sen. Robin Padilla’s remarks at the PH Independence Day event.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed she was also surprised by Sen. Robin Padilla raising the Sara-Imee tandem before the OFWs in Malaysia. Based on a post of ABS-CBN News on social media, the Vice President further said she does not what is on the mind of the Senator.

“Nagulat din ako. Nagulat din ako sa Sara-Imee ni Senator Robin at nung umakyat sa stage si Senator Imee at tinanong siya ni Robin, ‘Uy ano ba iyan?’ Tapos sinabi ni Senator Robin, ‘Ah basta um-oo ka na lang’. So hindi ko alam kung anong nasa isip ni Senator Robin Padilla,” she said.

The Vice President was disappointed by the 2025 Elections result. Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte expressed her beliefs that more PDP-Laban bets should have won the senatorial race.
