World, meet your new queen! Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand is Miss World 2025. She is the successor of Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic. The coronation night is held at the Hyderabad International Convention and Exhibition Center (HITEX) in Hyderabad.
Opal Suchata Chuangsri bested 107 other aspirants from different countries in the 72nd edition of the beauty pageant. Meanwhile, Philippines’ Krishnah Gravidez fell short of her efforts to win the country’s second crown with a Top 8 finish.
About Opal Suchata Chuangsri
She was born on March 20, 2003, and grew up with hoteliers for parents. She can speak Thai, English, and Chinese. She attends Thammasat University, taking up a Political Science major with a focus on International Relations.
As someone who has undergone surgery at 16 to remove a benign breast lump, her advocacy, “Opal For Her” campaign, is focused on breast health awareness and early detection. An initiative that highlights women’s health and empowerment.

This year’s Miss World format is:
Quarter-Finals Breakdown:
• 10 contestants from each continental region:
• Africa
• Americas & Caribbean
• Asia & Oceania
• Europe
Top 5 and Top 2 Selection:
From each continental region, the judges will select a Top 5, which will then be narrowed down to a Top 2. This means every continental region will have:
• 1 Winner
• 1 Runner-up
Miss World Finalists:
At this stage, the Top 2 from each region will compete, and the judges will reveal the continental winners, who will also be the Overall Top 4 Finalists of the competition, as well as the continental 1st runner-ups.
The judges will then vote to crown:
- The 72nd Miss World
- 1st Runner-up
- 2nd Runner-up
- 3rd Runner-up
The 1st runner-up in the winner’s continent will be the continental winner.
