Delivery Rider Suffers Injuries After Assaulted by Customer
A poor delivery rider was reportedly assaulted by a customer due to an issue with a parcel in Negros Occidental.
Recently, Liezel Francisco, a Facebook user, shared a photo of her brother’s injuries after being attacked by a dissatisfied customer. The post quickly circulated on social media and elicited reactions from the online community.
According to Francisco, the misunderstanding started when the customer received a package that did not match their expectations. Instead of contacting the seller to clarify or request a refund, the customer allegedly took out their anger on the rider, physically assaulting him.
Liezel explained that the rider had already scanned and completed the transaction, meaning the delivery was officially done. The customer’s family, however, tried to cancel the order after the delivery was completed.
When the rider refused, explaining that the process couldn’t be reversed, the customer’s father reportedly got angry and attacked him.
The item was worth only P107, a small amount compared to the harm caused. Liezel expressed frustration, noting that her brother was only doing his job and didn’t deserve to be treated that way.
the lady netizen also pointed out that if there was a problem with the product, the proper way to handle it would have been to report it to the seller, not to assault the person who delivered it.
The rider was not only hit but also insulted harshly by the customer’s father.
