Senator Bong Go talks about former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Leading candidate in the senatorial race, Senator Bong Go, thanked former President Rodrigo Duterte for his guidance.
Senator-elect Bong Go was the topnotcher of this year’s midterm polls in the senatorial race with 27, 121, 073 votes. On Saturday, May 17, along with the other winners, he was proclaimed, and one of the people he mentioned that he was most thankful for was former President Rodrigo Duterte.

He was his mentor and inspiration when it comes to public service, and underscored the things he did for the country.
“Tinatandaan ko palagi ang sinasabi niya sa akin, ‘Just do, what is right. Gawin lang ang tama at hindi ka magkakamali, unahin ang interes ng bayan, unahin po ang interes ng bawat Pilipino'” he said.
He under under the Duterte-led PDP-Laban party. As much as we all know, the leading senator was a long-time aide of Duterte before he became a member of the Senate. According to him, this fresh mandate will make him lobby for health, food, job security, and education.
He vowed to expand the tertiary education law to provide more academic opportunities to college students. He would push through more “pro-poor” programs on health, education, and sports.
