Will Vice Ganda retire soon? Here’s what she said.
ABS-CBN superstar Vice Ganda has this to say when asked about retiring, as she has just turned 50 years old.
On March 31, Vice Ganda officially turned 50, and she’s definitely still on top of her game despite the changes in time and the showbiz landscape. To mark her birthday, she had an intimate birthday dinner in Angeles City with her close friends, including Petite, Lassy, MC Muah, Tonton, Divine Tetay, and Rhea Tan, as well as her mother Rosario Viceral and partner Ion Perez.
Recently, she talked about retiring. While admittedly, she gets tired at times, she clearly has no plans yet to retire from the show business, and she will continue to work as long as her supporters want her to.
“The idea of retiring has not crossed my mind yet. Hindi ko pa siya pinag-iisipan. Kayang-kaya ko pa siya. Nakakapagod din pero kayang-kaya ko pa siya at gustung-gusto ko pa siya,” she expressed.
Despite being 50, she is still enjoying what she does now and still “obsessed” with doing it. She’s always excited for It’s Showtime, still wants to make more movies, desires to hold a concert, and more. She draws strength from the continued love and support from her audience.
She believes that getting older shouldn’t prevent people from trying new things and stepping beyond their comfort zones.
“I don’t wanna limit myself. There are still a lot of other things I envision myself doing. I believe [na] mayroon pa akong undiscovered potentials. [Habang] tumatanda ka, mayroon kang hindi mga nagagawa before, pero you’ll be surprised na may mga hindi ka nagagawa before na, ‘Ay, kaya ko pala ‘yun. Ay, gusto ko pala ‘yun. Ay, masaya pala ‘yun,’” said the phenomenal superstar.
