Vico Sotto is thankful for the positive words about Pasig City
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has this funny reply to supporters from other cities who want to transfer to their city.
Mayor Vico is one of the most admired, if not the most admired, public servant nowadays. From the time he entered the political arena, he has been advocating “good governance.”
When he became Mayor in 2019, he started an order or system in Pasig that benefitted the majority. Mayor Vico and the residents have been flaunting the improvement that happened to their city. Even those who are not Pasig residents but experience “good governance” showed support for him.
With what Mayor Vico Sotto is doing in Pasig, people from other cities could not help but say, “sana all.” With this, it has been a running joke on social media that many netizens want to be a Pasigueño or move to Pasig.
In a recent interview with Inquirer, the son of Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes was asked if what he can say about his supporters outside Pasig who want to move to their city.
“Hindi ko alam kung nakikita mo sa social media ang biruan na lilpat na daw diyan ang mga tao sa Pasig dahil gusto nilang ma-experience ang governance ng isang Vico Sotto, ready ba ang Pasig na tanggapin itong mga bagong residente,” reporter Neil Arwin Mercado asked.
Mayor Vico expressed gratitude for the positive feedback that their city is getting from other people. However, he has a funny answer to this.
The Mayor quipped that they are already full in their city and that there is no vacancy. “Masikip po dito, punong puno na kami dito. Baka wala na po kayong malipatan,” the Mayor said.

Meanwhile, in an interview after being proclaimed as the winner, Mayor Vico Sotto was asked if he is set to seek a national position next elections. He stressed that this was not his plan.
