CCTV Captures Man Robbing House in Malabon, Suspected in Another Nearby Theft
A man was caught on CCTV breaking into a house in Barangay Catmon, Malabon City, he was also suspected in another nearby theft.
The CCTV footage shows the suspect loitering outside a home shortly after 3 a.m. He can be seen watching the area for a few minutes before slowly opening the gate and going inside. The camera did not capture where exactly he went inside the house, but it later showed him leaving through the gate after a short while.
According to the barangay officials, the suspect managed to get inside the house and even went up to the second floor. This is reportedly the second time the same house has been targeted, with the first incident happening back in April.

The suspect is also believed to have entered another nearby home on the same morning, although that incident was not recorded on camera. According to a resident, the door of their home was left unlocked when her brother stepped out for a while.
Upon returning, he saw the suspect inside their house, going through their older brother’s bag. Shocked and scared, he didn’t confront the intruder, who quickly left the scene.
“Hindi po naka-lock ang bahay namin kasi lumabas po ang kapatid ko eh, kinalimutan niya pong isarado ‘yung pinto. Nakita siya ng kapatid ko po. Pagpasok ng kapatid ko sa bahay, nakita niya po ‘yung lalaki. May kinakapa sa bag ng kuya ko. Nasa loob ng bahay mismo po. Wala pong ginawa ‘yung kapatid ko, siyempre natakot din,” the victim said.
During the break-in in April, the suspect allegedly stole a cellphone and around P2,000 in cash.
The barangay has confirmed that they are now conducting an investigation and working to identify and arrest the man responsible for the break-ins. Residents are also being reminded to keep their homes secured, especially at night, to avoid further incidents.
