ALDEN RICHARDS – Kapuso star Alden Richards had a star-struck moment as he met Mission: Impossible legend Tom Cruise during the film’s premiere in Seoul.
It was truly a “mission accomplished” for Alden Richards as he came face to face with global superstar and action icon Tom Cruise during the premiere of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning held in Seoul, South Korea.
The memorable encounter was captured in a video shared by Alden himself on Instagram. The video showed the Filipino actor and GMA star exchanging a handshake with Cruise and posing together on the red carpet. Alden couldn’t hide his excitement and captioned the post, “Ethan meets Ethan…,” referring to his character in the blockbuster film Hello, Love, Again, playfully connecting it to Cruise’s iconic role as Ethan Hunt in the Mission: Impossible franchise. He followed it with the words, “I have no words!”—a sentiment echoed by many of his fans.
The moment gained further attention when Paramount Pictures acknowledged Alden’s presence at the star-studded event, welcoming him to the world of espionage fiction with a post that read, “Welcome to the IMF, Agent @aldenrichards02.”
Alden’s attendance at the international premiere comes on the heels of his latest accolade. He was recently named the 2024 Box Office King by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP), thanks to the resounding success of Hello, Love, Again, the sequel to his 2019 hit film Hello, Love, Goodbye.
