Rufa Mae Quinto moves on from a difficult chapter in her life
Comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto talked about her life and the legal and personal battles she recently faced.
Rufa Mae had a difficult start this year. It was because of the complaint against her as her name was entangled in an investment scam involving a beauty clinic. The comedienne did not hesitate to voluntarily surrender when she returned to the country.
She said back then that since she was confident of her innocence, she was able to prove it. Aside from his legal battle, Rufa Mae also had a personal battle.
This was specifically about her marriage to Trevor Magallanes. They separated and allegedly they were in the process of divorce.
After the court dismissed the complaints against her, Rufa Mae Quinto could not be happier. She expressed happiness about the result, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment.
“Ang saya saya mo, pero at the same time, flashback pa rin. Kumbaga siguro proseso ang mangyayari. At least ngayon malaya ka, makakalabas ka na, kahit saan ka pumunta. Nagka-pag-asa ako, chance,” she said.
She also said that right now, she is starting again. “Nagsisimula ako ngayon ulit. Kahit anong sabihiin, ‘yung mga mali mo, ngayon hinahanap mo ‘yung tamang solusyon o gagawin mo nang mag-isa. Clean slate, brand new,” she explained.
Rufa Mae stressed that it was a learning experience for her even though she has been very careful before, this made her even more careful. She highlighted the importance of paying attention to the contracts because this might be used by other people to victimize someone.
When asked if she has plans to counter-sue, Rufa Mae said that she will not anymore because she does not know who filed complaints against her. One factor is that those people no longer pursued their complaints.
“Parang one or two lang na nag-hearing. ‘Yun lang ‘yun. Tapos after nun, na-cancel naman na lahat ng hearing,” she shared.
