NAIA TERMINAL 1 ACCIDENT – Two lives were lost in the tragic accident, and these famous people have this to say.
“Kaya po ako nag-iibang bansa para po sa kanilang dalawa tapos ganun po mangyayari,” said Danmark Masongsong, the Overseas Filipino worker (OFW) whose daughter was killed in the accident that happened at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.
The SUV driver will be facing multiple charges, such as reckless imprudence resulting in two counts of homicide, multiple injuries, and damage to property. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has also preventively suspended the driver’s license of the driver for 90 days.
Several people expressed grief and were heartbroken, and among those were famous people.
In a previous article, actor Matteo Guidicelli reacted to the NAIA accident. He voiced out his feelings and emotions about the horrible occurrence and also expressed his thoughts and prayers to the victims who suffered extreme devastation.
ABS-CBN superstar Anne Curtis also reacted to the accident, which added to the string of vehicular accidents that had happened. She wrote, “Seeing so many vehicle accidents on the news with lives tragically taken. So many young lives being taken away so soon.”
She also made an appeal to the concerned government agencies to address the issue to prevent similar incidents from happening.
Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon also personally visited the wake of the child who died. He offered his condolences and support to the family as they go through this difficult time. Dizon was accompanied by Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, and the latter also extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, NNIC president Ramon S. Ang will shoulder the medical expenses of the four individuals involved and left injured. He also vowed to provide financial assistance to the families of the two victims who died in the incident.
