Young Boy Saves Portion of Food for His Disabled Father
A young boy touches many hearts after saving a portion of his food to bring home to his disabled father.
Recently, Xoia Shyy, a Facebook user, shared a touching moment between a 13-year-old boy and his father. The boy was seen saving part of his meal to bring home to his father, who is a person with disability and unable to walk or stand. The post elicited comments from netizens.
Shyy noticed the boy cleaning tables and helping park motorcycles near a local coffee shop. Curious, she asked if he had eaten. He shyly admitted he hadn’t, as he didn’t have enough money.

The woman then invited him to have a meal at Jollibee, something he had never experienced before. The boy appreciated the gesture. He asked her to take a photo of him so he could remember the moment.
While eating, he carefully set aside parts of his chicken. When asked why, he said it was for his father, who was waiting outside. Even after being told he could have more food, the boy still made sure to save some for his father’s breakfast the next day.
Xoia explained that her income from freelance work often goes toward helping others. She shared this heartwarming moment to show the impact that simple acts of care can have.

“Tonight, this kid truly touched my heart.
I was at pick-up coffee when I noticed him — he was cleaning tables and helping park motorcycles. I asked him, “Nagkaon naka, bi?”, and he shyly replied, “Wala pa, Ate. Dili pa igo akong kwarta.” Curious and concerned, I sat down and talked with him for a while. Then I invited him, “Kaon ta, bi?” He hesitated, and ni ask pa sya“Sure ka, Ate?”
We went to Jollibee, and even though he was very shy, he quickly looked for a vacant table for us and patiently waited while I ordered. I learned that despite everything he’s been through, he’s only 13 years old.
While eating, I found it cute that he let me chop his chicken into small pieces so he could properly use utensils instead of eating with his hands. He also asked “ate pwede picture-i ko? pinaka una nako ni na kaon diri”
Then, I noticed he was eating cautiously, and when I asked, I found out he was saving some of the chicken for tatay na naa outside Jollibee since di na siya ka walk and stand.
My heart broke jd and naluoy ko na na happy because even when halos wala na siyay ma eat naka think japon siya about ni tatay. I reassured him that he could finish his meal, and I promised we would get food for Tatay after. Even so, he still carefully set aside some chicken for takeout, saying it would be his breakfast for tomorrow.
To everyone na nagpa commission nako or nagpa make projects this is where your money goes.

PS: I’m not posting this for clout or anything like that. As you can see, I’m using my dump account po (and wala pd jd gatuo na mu boom ni) this has always been my safe space to share wholesome moments and little life updates, this acc has been my online diary.
As someone who does commission-based work po, I sometimes get questions like, “What do you even do with your income?” So I felt the need to share a bit of context, especially for those who might assume things.
I’ve quietly fed a lot of homeless people and animals before, but this moment was special jd po, the kid happily asked for a photo”
