Andrea Torres is set to return to GMA’s Afternoon Prime
Kapuso actress Andrea Torres received praise from her Akusada co-star newbie actress Jeniffer Maravilla.
Andrea is one of the homegrown talents of GMA. She has done various TV projects and movies as well. However, she took a break from doing teleseryes last year.
The last one she did was in 2023 and it was a drama series with A-list actress Bea Alonzo titled Love Before Sunrise. Early this year, Andrea expressed readiness to be busy again with her upcoming projects.
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Jeniffer Maravilla expressed excitement about sharing the same frame with Andrea Torres.
“Sobrang excited ako kasi lalo na si Andrea [Torres], isa siya sa mga nilu-look up ko na Kapuso actress. Sobrang bilib po ako sa mga nagampanan niyang role from the past,” the newbie actress said.
Jeniffer also shared that early this month, she did an acting workshop for her role in this upcoming Kapuso series. She was first featured in the Kapuso series Asawa Ng Asawa Ko in 2024.
Meanwhile, Andrea Torres expressed excitement about returning to GMA Afternoon Prime. She’s happy because she started doing a series included in the afternoon timeslot of the Kapuso network. “Dito ako unang pinagkatiwalaan ng network ko,” she shared.
It gave her a different feeling now that she has a new afternoon drama series and this felt nostalgic for her. She is also excited about the series because it has a good story, her character has a lot of layers and can lead to many possibilities.
Andrea Torres admitted that she had mixed feelings about this new project. She is a bit nervous at the thought of how to make this project even better. On the other hand, she said, “I welcome the challenge.”
