Ruffa Gutierrez returned to GMA
Actress Ruffa Gutierrez is happy about doing a project again with GMA Network after 21 years.
Ruffa grew up in showbiz as she came from one of the most prominent clans in the Philippines entertainment industry. At a young age, she already did several showbiz projects and eventually, she ventured into pageanty and became the Binibining Pilipinas World 1993. The actress started her showbiz career in the Kapuso network. Then, she transferred to ABS-CBN.
This year, Ruffa is set to return to the Kapuso network via the upcoming revenge drama series Beauty Empire, produced by GMA Public Affairs and is based on the original concept by CreaZion Studios and a Viu Original series.
Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Ruffa Gutierrez shared that she is excited to be in the Kapuso network once again. The actress was part of the variety show That’s Entertainment from 1986 and 1996.
“It’s been 21 years po since my last project dito sa GMA and I’m very, very happy, grateful, thankful for the warm welcome. Talagang excited ako sa project na ito, Beauty Empire,” Ruffa said.
This series also features Sparkle artists Barbie Forteza and Kyline Alcantara. Ruffa said that she is excited to work with these young actresses. She added that it is a dream come true for her to work with these fine, young actresses. This is her first time working with Barbie and Kyline.
Ruffa Gutierrez also shared that she felt nostalgic going back to GMA as she saw familiar faces. Then, she recalled her grand wedding with her ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas and it was televised in GMA in 2003. She said that the staff and crew at that time are now bosses and this made her happy.
“They’ve elevated already and they are now in power, and yet mababait pa rin sila sa ‘kin so I’m happy to see old faces and work with new faces,” the actress said.
