Marjorie Barretto Says Sorry To Julia, Claudia, and Leon

In an interview, Marjorie Barretto apologizes to her children.

Amid the recent dispute with Dennis Padilla, Marjorie Barretto stepped up for their children and apologized to them.

Following the wedding, Dennis Padilla aired his hurt and anger publicly. He felt left out at the event where the bride was his daughter. The wedding of Claudia Barretto and her longtime non-showbiz boyfriend, Basti Lorenzo, was surrounded by issues because of his sentiments.

Padilla’s intriguing post that started it all said, “GRABE KAYO!! NABUDOL NYO AKO! FATHER OF THE BRIDE NAGING VISITOR. GALING NYO!”

The post created a loud buzz online, and it eventually prompted Marjorie Barretto to step up to defend their children, namely Julia, Claudia, and Leon.

Marjorie defended her children and clarified the issues point by point without the drama.

She said in an interview with Ogie Diaz, “Kung nale-left out ka, wala ka kasi sa buhay ng mga anak mo eh. Mas gusto mo pa kasi magpa-interview eh.”

As a mother, she also noted how Padilla, the father and the person who is supposed to protect them, would rather shame them in public using his twisted narratives. For years, she stayed silent, but this time around, she could not allow him to put their children in a bad light again when things did not go his way during the wedding. She could not stand lies; hence her stepping up with photos to correct his narrative.

In the same interview, Marjorie expressed a message for her children and apologized to them. She is sorry because she could not defend them from the man who is supposed to give them peace and protection.

She could protect them from everybody but not from their father. She also added her regrets about choosing the wrong father for them. While she had the luxury to leave their marriage, which she did 18 years ago, her children couldn’t have the same opportunity. He is their father forever, and they will be stuck in this reality.

“I’m so sorry I chose wrong. But I’ll tell you, I will love you enough. I will protect you enough. Enough for a father and a mother, and I will never forsake you. I love you all,” she expressed.
